Migrating to a container-based Cloud BPMS platform at BBVA

If you look at the cloud-ready and 12-factor application patterns, you'd think that a business process management (BPM) application doesn't look like the perfect fit for a cloud app. However, since a global cloud-based BPM platform was needed at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), we accepted the challenge and shared the vision with Red Hat, who proposed to join our journey.

In this session we'll cover:

- Why we needed to move from a proprietary vendor on-premise BPM platform to a cloud-based BPM Platform.

- The process of defining the requirements of the cloud based platform solution architecture.

- How to contribute to the JBPM community and collaborate with Red Hat to transform a vision into an enterprise-ready solution with Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite 7.

- How to engage with internal business stakeholders and measure value for them.

- Migration approaches.

- Challenges and lessons learned from the journey.
